The interactive voting tool, Wahl-O-Mat (‘Voting Machine‘) has become an inherent part of voting behaviour since the 2002 elections. The award-winning tool, and its ergonomic and distinct look, was developed in close collaboration with German Federal Agency for Civic Education. The tool is compatible with iPhone, iPad and android smartphones. It is now recognised and used Germany-wide.
New ideas and projects evolve every day, most of them in studios and agencies. Workspaces aren’t static entities – they come alive through the people that think and work within them. We incorporated these thoughts into the website concept for the San Francisco-based architecture practice WRNS Studio. An animated photo story fills the office with life; large scale photo animations forming the main feature of the site. The narratives, animations and the navigation structure are input via a tailor-made CMS.
Our website concept for Germany’s biggest materials and technologies business reflects the international company’s strategic development, with its 780 companies and equity interests in 80 countries. The concept integrates and structures around 230 individual ThyssenKrupp-affiliated sites in what we call an ‘infocosmos‘ – with the aim of reinforcing the company’s brand.
Following the website we developed for the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, we also designed and developed a web presence for their PhD programmes – the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE), which provides an attractive research environment for talented graduate students.
In 2009 we implemented Germania Airline’s technical relaunch. Using TLGG’s conceptual specifications as guidelines, and a layout designed by Hope/Glory, we embedded our e-publisher editing tool and took on the site’s hosting. Germania received a dedicated server, which is able to withstand over 250.000 hits a day.
We produced the concept for a refresh of the city of Berlin’s official website, berlin.de. Attracting almost 10 million hits a month, Berlin’s portal group reaches almost every third internet user. The restructure involved reviewing and refreshing over 200 websites with approximately 300.000 pages. To do so, we developed a comprehensive systemising tool (‘Infocosmos‘), which took into account even the minutest of details. Berlin.de has been using this tool since 2011.
The new Kulturprojekte site presents culture in the way it deserves to be: lively and expressive, and open to everyone. The website presents an accessible and structured overview of Berlin’s broad cultural offer. A special feature of the site is the Kulturprojekte-Magazine, which highlights select events and projects. The large scale images ensure it is visually engaging, and the site is fully compatible with the viewing format for tablets.
Punchy, confident, unique: the Berlinische Galerie, Berlin’s Museum of Modern Art, is one of the best-known cultural institutions in Berlin. We re-designed their website in collaboration with branding agency Thoma+Schekorr. Together we developed and designed a new concept, aimed at emphasising their cultural brand. What’s more, we demonstrated how art can be presented in the digital realm.
In 2001, the temporary exhibition ‘Based in Berlin’ was the cultural highlight of the summer, featuring the work of 80 emerging Berlin-based artists. Alongside the website, 3pc also created an app to accompany the exhibition. With detailed information about exhibition locations, the artists represented and a comprehensive events programme, the app was a must-have for all visitors.
PACE is a leading provider of innovative software solutions for the aviation and aerospace industries. The relaunch of their site aimed to present their work in the best possible light, and on a global scale. The intuitive navigation leads the visitor swiftly to their products and services. Further features, such a forum, events calendar and download facility, complement the offer. To achieve this, the TYPO3 content management system was adapted to meet the site’s requirements.
