TYPO3 is one of the most popular content management systems, especially for larger companies, social organisations and the public sector: The open source CMS is incredibly customisable - and it is constantly being developed by a very active international community to provide state-of-the-art website security, performance and functionality.
This performance is generally recognised: For example, TYPO3 is also to serve as the basis for Government Site Builder (GSB) 11, the content management system of the German federal authorities.
New features and improvements in TYPO3 version 13
TYPO3 version 13 has now been released: It and the associated Long Time Support (LTS) provide you with a whole range of new features and improvements.
Editors benefit from a completely redesigned backend, both when working on the desktop and when maintaining content on mobile devices. Content can now be managed more quickly and easily with a reactive page tree and new backend search functions, even away from your own desk. And anyone who has created a multilingual website will be delighted with the new options they have been wanting for a long time: Now the backend can also be used for languages whose writing direction runs from right to left - you can now use more than 60 languages in total.
A new no-code editor is also available: For the first time, content can be created and customised using drag-and-drop without any programming knowledge.
Furthermore, you can now manage your content for various output channels such as mobile apps or other websites centrally: The new TYPO3 version can be used as a headless CMS, so it can be displayed in many different ways via interfaces - APIs.
There have also been further improvements in terms of security. An optimised two-factor optimisation protects against data theft, and the management of security certificates has also been improved.
And the fact that TYPO3 version 13 uses PHP 8.2 as the basis ensures faster loading times and ensures the stability of your website, even with high usage figures.
