"and today?": Video launch for an interactive learning platform

With over 30 million documents relating to the crimes of the Nazi regime, the Arolsen Archives are the world's most comprehensive collection centre for victims and survivors of National Socialism. These historical documents are still of great importance in today's society - the Arolsen Archives would like to show this to young people in particular. With an online event, we have helped to publicise the new target group-oriented learning platform "und heute?" to a broad public.
Reach a young audience with mini-games
Interactive maps on the "Landscape of Crimes", audio pieces on anti-Semitism and interviews on living together in Germany today; questions about the impact of citizenship, a visual journey through living rooms from the period after 1945, several quizzes or the opportunity to actively contribute to a digital memorial: With the new educational platform "und heute?" ("and today?"), the Arolsen Archives have created an innovative offering that brings young people closer to Nazi history and issues of social participation since 1945 in a fun way. Interactive mini-games impart historical knowledge and encourage people to engage with current social issues.

To mark the launch of this important platform, the Arolsen Archives organised a target group-specific online event in collaboration with 3pc. Teachers, multipliers, education policymakers and the specialised press were invited to get to know the new educational offering and explore its potential uses.
