Probat SE

Digital maturity analysis - PROBAT SE

Machine and plant engineering for the coffee and food industry - PROBAT SE, headquartered in Emmerich, is the global market leader in this field. A lot has happened since the "Emmerich ball roaster" in 1870: 1,000 employees in more than 40 countries are committed to "future-proof solutions for your coffee".
The company's digital transformation process should also be future-proof - so that PROBAT SE's brand mission, "Future-proof solutions for your coffee", continues to be realised.

Anchoring the digital

How far has digitalisation progressed in different areas of the internationally active PROBAT SE? How can digitalisation be anchored in the organisation in the long term? - With these main questions in mind, our digital strategists set about systematically analysing the current situation in an audit.

Of course, this involved technologies and innovation opportunities, but the focus was also on the organisational culture and, in particular, the people: after all, user-centric methods, processes and projects should support the success of the transformation and, in conjunction with a visualised data evaluation, lead to strategic decisions.

Getting everyone on board

In order to utilise the knowledge of the employees and involve everyone, the survey phase began with a quantitative survey and selected qualitative interviews. In conjunction with the results of an analysis of the environment and selected competitors, we developed initial solution approaches.

Off to new digital shores!

Recommendations for measures in various areas of potential, presented in our results document on the company's digital maturity level, now form the basis for targeted steps on the path to digital transformation. Sensitive change communication will continue to pick up and involve everyone involved.

The fact that this was successful in the first step, that our digital maturity analysis was fun for those involved and brought new insights, is not only demonstrated by the positive feedback: The central question "What does PROBAT stand for in the digital age?" has already opened up new perspectives and triggered initial change processes.

Projects with purpose

For over 30 years, we have been working with remarkable institutions from the education, science, culture, administration or business sectors.

All our projects are based on common features: their demand for a high standard of editorial quality, their complexity and the fact that they are part of a greater societal change.

Throughout our work, an innovative and strategic outlook is key. At the same time, we have the highest demands on usability, design and the underlying technology of our work. All of these components must prove sustainable in the long term.

The projects that move us are socially relevant, they matter. At the same time, they enable and inspire us to try out new ideas and concepts.

In all contexts, we value a comprehensive understanding of the diverse organizational cultures of our clients. We know how to support employees in change processes and how to moderate cultural change.

We see consulting as a joint process in which we use co-creative elements as effective and active forms of collaboration. Our aim is to involve all relevant stakeholders in finding solutions in order to achieve an optimal result that will be accepted in the long term.

Awards

Our work has received many awards. We work on projects with journalistic standards and high benchmarks for design and usability. Thanks to these criteria, 3pc was awarded the Grimme Online Award as well as other prizes.

"In a world permanently surrounded by media and technical evolution our perception is changing, user interfaces - the interfaces between human and machine - play a key role. This is where the future is negotiated and where we help shape it.“
