One roof - many houses - countless rooms

Serving people in challenging life situations: That is the aim of Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie, which was formed in 2019 from the merger of Albertinen Diakoniewerk in Hamburg and Immanuel Diakonie in Berlin. The non-profit organisation employs around 7,900 people in seven federal states in four divisions: Health, Housing & Care, Support & Assistance and Services.

There are still seats available at the table!

More than 90 facilities under one roof: the foundation stone for the relocation of all web presences of the Immanuel Albertinen Universe has been laid with the newly launched corporate site. The facilities from the Hamburg area have already moved to the new shared Typo3 editorial environment, and other facilities will gradually follow and find their place in the multi-domain portal. There they will find themselves in the best company with content that is relevant to all areas of the growing group: News, important topics and dates or even the new central careers portal.

Creating trust through safe guidance

Despite all the diversity, nobody is lost! This is ensured by the sophisticated overall graphic and technical concept, developed in close cooperation with Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie. Whether navigating through news, videos and information or searching for the right offer from the many company divisions: a user experience optimised for the target group is combined with consistently high information content.

A time-controlled slider on the home pages highlights selected content from innovative medical procedures, charitable campaigns and image films to key services, enticing users to explore them individually. The four company divisions use memorable icons and a colour coding system that makes it easy to identify the respective division at first glance.

High level of comfort even behind the scenes

As diverse as the possibilities are, as practical is the workflow for maintaining the content: Typo3 modules provided by our development department are easy for editors to use and guarantee a standardised appearance. In addition, a specially developed media library extension allows audios and videos to be played on request, e.g. category-based.

One for all!

Thanks to a special focus on SEO, the new Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie website is easy to find: not only have the loading times been optimised through the use of webp and lazy loading, but the entire page structure has been designed both technically and editorially according to SEO aspects. And, of course, the entire site was created in accordance with accessibility guidelines.
