With TYPO3 extensions against the maintenance crisis

Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie has around 100 facilities throughout Germany. Until now, potential new colleagues have been able to find vacancies in a decentralised manner on many individual facility websites. Now, a joint career portal brings together all job vacancies in a centralised location - with an extensive Solr search and supporting filter criteria. The success of the customised solution speaks for itself: the number of hits is exploding!

Filters and search function provide an overview

Which job vacancies does Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie advertise at which location? What professional experience is required, what benefits can I expect and who is my contact person? The new central career portal makes the job search as pleasant as possible: a search implemented with Solr with free text input and supporting filter criteria offers you the best orientation as well as clear and quick access to an average of around 300 job offers. This is particularly important in times of a nursing shortage.

Familiar workflow thanks to TYPO3 interface

The special challenge behind the scenes: Editors who enter job vacancies for around 100 different organisations had to be able to continue working smoothly and with the HR recruiting system they were familiar with. At the same time, the information maintained there needed to be transferred to the website running on TYPO3 and supplemented with additional elements such as icons, photos or videos. A task that we solved with interface and extension programming tailored precisely to the needs of our customer. It ensures that the job information maintained in the HR recruiting system is transferred in a structured manner and adapted to the web design of the Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie.

ER model facilitates maintenance

At the same time, the data was linked to the ER model, which was also specially designed for Immanuel Albertinen Diakonie: It establishes relationships between numerous entities. Facilities, specialist departments, addresses, people and events can be managed centrally, edited conveniently and displayed on the correct website with just a few clicks.

New content elements provide orientation

In addition, newly developed content elements provide quick access for specific target groups, an overview of the employer's numerous benefits and thus quick orientation.

Finding a job made easy!

The result is a career portal that takes into account the needs of editors as well as those of job seekers. The thoroughly positive feedback proves that the calculation has worked out - and the exponentially increasing number of visits by potential new employees speaks for itself anyway.
