Online event XCAMP2022: Shaping the future with smart materials
Die digitale Zukunft ist interdisziplinär! Wir müssen Digitalisierung out of the box denken und verschiedene Forschungs- und Anwendungsbereiche miteinander verknüpfen.
Dazu gehört auch die Verbindung von Materialdesign und sozialen und gesellschaftlichen Organisationsweisen. Gemeinsam mit dem DXM, ein Forschungsprojekt der Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, veranstaltet der Verein Xinnovations kommende Woche das „XCAMP: Smart Materials“. Digitale Vordenker:innen aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft kommen zusammen, um sich gemeinsam über die Schnittstellen von Design, Materialforschung und Anwendungsfeldern auszutauschen. Wir laden Sie ein, am kommenden Donnerstag, dem 13. Januar 2022, beim XCAMP dabei zu sein.
Smart Materials
The virtual camp brings together materials scientists, founders, design students, medical professionals and software developers. Together, they will explore the potential of new materials in connection with health, future technologies, infrastructures and experimental architectures.
New materials. Innovative design. Future technologies.
What can smart materials achieve? What influence do future technologies have on design processes? What are hybrid adaptive surfaces and where can they be used? Three panels will provide the opportunity to discuss the following key topics: "Digital Health", "The Future of Crafts, Design and Making" and "Kinetic Responsive Surfaces for Architecture".
The dialogue will include Erik Freydank, interaction designer from ART+COM, Julia Danckwerth, designer from Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and Fabian Neumüller, textile artist and industrial designer. Together, they are working on the question of how the exchange can be better organised in order to specifically identify the needs, areas of application and potential of new technologies.
