Longing for facts? New Wahl-O-Mat record

"The number of visits to Wahl-O-Mat is a sign of the great interest in this federal election": 21 million visits in twelve days seem to confirm this thesis – at the same time, Wahl-O-Mat has broken its previous record from the last federal election. We hope that playing, reflecting, discussing, and comparing will bring a little clarity to the parties' positions and arguments on the election issues.

21 million in twelve days?! For more than two decades, we have been responsible for the design of what is probably Germany's best-known orange box. And at the last general election, together with the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb), for whom we design and develop the Wahl-O-Mat, we were very proud of the same result as a total figure - after four weeks, mind you.

This time everything is going faster: early Bundestag elections, a compressed election campaign, less time to decide which party to vote for. And because the parties standing for election had to be finalised before all the information was available, this time there are only two and a half weeks to play the Wahl-O-Mat.

The short time may play a part in the high number of hits, but the complexity of the current political situation and the fact that the Bundestag election campaign is currently focussing on so few issues makes it all the more convenient to find statements and party programmes on many very different topics in one place - in the Wahl-O-Mat - compiled in an objective and clear manner.

There is still a good half a week left to click through the 38 theses, compare your own opinion with the parties' positions, obtain further information or have lively discussions with friends about individual questions or the results of the game. We are delighted to have made this possible again for this election and are already looking forward to seeing how high the new access record will rise by election day.

And for those who haven't done so yet: Have fun, you can play the Wahl-O-Mat here!
