User experience and user interface design
User interface design: focussing on users
The digital transformation is having a fundamental impact on our lives: our behaviour and our perception are undergoing far-reaching changes. People interact with machines almost constantly. As a digital agency, we deal with user interfaces (UI), i.e. digital user interfaces, on a daily basis. This is where content and functionality, usability and design come together.
At the heart of every digital application is always the communication of content - but what good is the best content if it is not accessible, not clearly structured or inconsistently prepared, if it is not visually convincing or simply cannot be found at the crucial moment?
User experiences should be simple, functional, visually appealing and content-activating. User experience (UX) encompasses the entire interaction of users with digital products: from websites and apps to intranets, assistance systems and backend environments.

Do you want to offer your target groups a unique experience and take interaction options to a new level? Our experts have years of experience in the conception, design and technical realisation of convincing UX/UI. Our formula for success: Users are always at the centre of everything we do.
User experience: between function and emotion
Our designers, UX strategists and front-end programmers understand user experience as a holistic user experience that harmonises aesthetic, functional and, in particular, emotional factors. Usability as part of the user experience is primarily aimed at ease of use, i.e. the effectiveness, efficiency, learnability, repeatability and predictability of digital applications. Accessibility is also relevant in this context. Findability, accessibility and readability are important criteria that must be met for content and functions.
Added to this are look and feel, i.e. aesthetics and design, as well as the intuitive handling of online offerings. These dimensions can be used to convey to users the moods and values that they associate with your company or organisation. Content is also crucial for the benefits, value and emotional potential of digital applications. Content strategy ensures that you present your users with the content they are looking for and at the same time communicate what makes your brand unique. Last but not least, general brand perception and context of use are also part of the user experience and must be taken into account accordingly in the interface design.
Our criteria for a perfect user experience
- Clear benefits, unambiguous functionality and easy handling
- Clear presentation, modern design, target group-compliant aesthetics
- Optimised findability, accessibility and readability
- Transparent structure, stringent information architecture
- Intuitive navigation, supportive user guidance
- focussing, no ballast, no unnecessary content
- Helpful, entertaining, valuable content

How we proceed: UX design with concept and method
For which target groups should applications be created? What are the desired performance characteristics and features? How can the success of digital communication and interactive offers be measured? We always orientate ourselves to your specific requirements and content and work closely with you to coordinate the concept and graphic line.
The first prerequisite is a deeper understanding of user behaviour, information needs and expectations. At 3pc, we strive for a holistic perspective, as we assume that users are not static, but are always on the move. They take on different roles and adapt their needs to internal and external change. With the help of the Vivid User Experience approach, we develop an understanding of these "moving" needs.
As part of our user research, we conduct interviews, usability tests and user experience questionnaires and analyse usage data. How do users perceive your current online offerings? How do specialists rate the usability or content dimensions?
We create an information architecture for your content that enables consistent and target group-orientated user guidance and develop simple, intuitive navigation. This creates the user interface as an interplay of interface, interaction and information design.
In the development of digital interfaces, the hard logic of software meets the diverse possibilities of interaction design. We use prototypes such as click dummies and mock-ups to recognise the pitfalls in usage scenarios at an early stage. The findings from these early UX tests flow back into the conceptual fine-tuning of the user interface and later into its technical implementation.
We coordinate the seamless interaction of research, concept and creation throughout the entire development process.
Positive user experience creates relevance and user loyalty
The ideal user interface offers maximum user-centredness and quality of use. Users should be able to orientate themselves intuitively and find exactly what they are looking for. We exceed their expectations when they have a lively digital experience that not only helps them, entertains them and encourages them to interact, but also credibly conveys values and relevance and is fun. Users will gladly repeat such a user experience.
We have demonstrated this with the Wahl-O-Mat. And we know from experience: Even complex systems can be easy to use.
