KulturFunke* - Culture according to new rules
The coronavirus crisis has also hit Lübeck as a cultural centre. From one day to the next, culture with contact was no longer possible - and it was necessary to react to this new reality just as quickly. The city's artists, museum organisers and other cultural professionals quickly came up with new format ideas. What was missing was a digital platform that would bundle these new formats and make them visible: this gave rise to the idea of the KulturFunke* platform.
Innovative cultural mediation
Within just a few weeks, 3pc implemented the website - in close collaboration with the Kulturtreibhaus working group, which took the initiative for the forward-looking project. Whether it's a live stream of a solo concert or a virtual tour of the European Hanseatic Museum, cultural players can upload their events to the platform with just a few clicks, without any hierarchical structure, complicated registration or pre-selection by the operators.
Hybrid formats also work
We took over the design as well as the front-end and back-end implementation for the project. The design is modern and uncluttered, the search function is convenient and intuitive. TYPO3 was used as the CMS. Very flexible programming allows us to react quickly to new requirements that can quickly arise due to the pandemic. For example, since on-site events with an audience have been allowed again, these also have their place on the platform. A dedicated search filter makes these events easy to find. Those who prefer to stay at home can choose to filter by livestreams. The cultural sparks of the Hanseatic city continue to fly even in times of corona - and our platform makes them shine digitally.
