Daily workflow
Current debates on political world events, background information on important topics, information on current affairs in keyword or posting form: On the homepage of bpb.de, interested parties can find daily categorisations, further content and easy-to-understand explanations of politically and socially relevant topics.
Our bpb editorial workflow starts with the morning editing of the latest articles - reliably, every day.
Your daily dose of politics
Historical anniversaries, political events, social discussions: Every morning, subscribers to the bpb Messenger channel "Your daily dose of politics" receive short explanatory texts directly to their smartphone.
In 2018, "Deine tägliche Dosis Politik" was honoured with the Politikaward.
For the monthly planning of the messenger channel, the 3pc editorial team researches important events and anniversaries, plans the deployment of a multi-person editorial team of freelance bpb employees and, of course, publishes the postings on the website. We are also involved in the production: The quizzes are written entirely by us, and we edit the text suggestions for postings or audios every day before they are sent to the bpb for approval. We are also in direct contact with readers through our community management, provide daily answers to their questions and collect topic suggestions from the community.

Our favourite: the Wahl-O-Mat
Since 2003, we have been producing the Wahl-O-Mat together with the bpb for every state, European or federal election. In addition to the design and front-end implementation, we take on the project coordination: we ensure that the tool - accompanied by a social media campaign - goes online as an app and on bpb.de in time for the press conference and is also available as an analogue "sticky Wahl-O-Mat" edition for political education.
After more than 20 years of Wahl-O-Mat editing, everyone involved has the procedures in their blood. A quick shout is usually enough and everyone knows what to do.
Dossiers, series, media centre, ...
The dossiers are the most important format on bpb.de - we developed many of them conceptually together with the bpb, and we continue to maintain them as well as other content supplied by the bpb on bpb.de.
The dossiers now cover pretty much every topic in political education: From labour market, health or pension policy to extremism, disinformation and other socio-political topics to background information from countries around the globe, from domestic conflicts to climate change or digitalisation.
We make sure that current journal and online series are available, put teaching and learning materials online, stock the shop with the latest publications and keep the media library up to date.
